John says:
The trip to Montreal was uneventful until squalls hit us just before each lock of the day. The rain was so hard I could not see and the bridge canvas was flailing in the wind that must have been 35 mph or better. But, just as fast as the storm came up it died down. We did four locks and while in the last lock the rain came again drenching everything and everybody, except for the guy on the boat that rafted up to us; he had a wooden umbrella.

The trip into the old harbor was nice as we saw the skyline of Montreal and the marina is great. There are no less than 20 million-dollar-or-more yachts and yes, we are again the oldest boat in the marina. But, we have a front row seat for the fireworks and there are plenty of restaurants and shops all within walking distance. Montreal has fireworks every Saturday and the place gets packed with people but they are all standing around while we sit on the boat in comfort. Tonight the fireworks are in tribute to Celine Dion. More on that later...
